QuickTips: Increase your work efficiency with HOTKEYS

Many times when people watch me work on a computer, I hear, “wow, you’re fast!”  Much of this is due to the fact that I use shortcut keys or “hotkeys”, which enables me to manoeuvre faster on a computer – and you can begin to use these too!

Not only do hotkeys increase your speed, but sometimes they also enable you to use functions that would not otherwise be available within some programs.  For example, the Edit > Copy function may not be available within every program or prompt window; however, the hotkey for the Copy function will still function in this case.

Hotkeys can become a second nature while you’re on the computer, but until then, I have made a list of some of them that you can affix to your monitor for quick reference (enclosed).
